So, what does Agama actually do?
Agama offers two core funds. Through Fund I, the Agama Public Equity Fund, we invest in public companies that strengthen culture and community—our theses focus on language technology like Duolingo, creative platforms like Adobe, and civic networks like Nextdoor. Our approach balances long-term conviction investing in indexes, ETFs, and stocks we believe in with short-term strategies such as options, covered calls, and puts. At the same time, Fund II, the Agama Community Catalyst Fund, provides crowdfunded grants to grassroots projects that promote cultural education, entrepreneurship, and sport as a timeless medium for identity and discipline. This work extends into our values for community, where we support programs like youth sports, startups, and Sanskrit camps to bring these values to life.
OUR FUNDS
I: The Agama Public Equity Fund
In Sanskrit, the word “Agama” means “that which has come down” — a body of timeless knowledge passed from one generation to the next. The Agama Public Equity Fund is built on that same idea: finance should not only grow wealth but also carry forward culture, language, and community. Just as Sanskrit has endured for centuries as a vessel of wisdom, our fund invests in modern platforms that keep timeless ideas alive in new forms. We focus on three themes: language technology like Duolingo, which expands access to learning; creative platforms like Adobe, which preserve and empower artistic expression; and civic networks like Nextdoor, which foster belonging and community ties.
Our approach combines stability with adaptability. On the long-term side, we invest in indexes, ETFs, and conviction stocks we believe in for their resilience and cultural impact. On the short-term side, we apply disciplined strategies such as covered calls and puts to remain agile in changing markets. In both, the purpose is clear: to align capital with businesses that, like Agama itself, preserve wisdom, amplify creativity, and strengthen human connection for generations to come.

II: Agama Community Catalyst Fund
“Agama” also carries the meaning of guidance in Sanskrit — knowledge that is preserved, shared, and lived out in community. The Agama Community Catalyst Fund was created with that spirit in mind: to support projects that keep culture, discipline, and creativity alive for the next generation. Structured as a crowdfunded grant platform, this fund backs initiatives in cultural education (including Sanskrit camps and programs in partnership with organizations like Samskrita Bharati), entrepreneurship/startups (sparking ventures that build confidence and leadership), and youth sports as a timeless medium for identity, discipline, and belonging.
At its heart, Fund II is about nurturing the values of community — bringing people together through language, heritage, and shared experience. By combining targeted grants with a focus on education and youth, the Agama Community Catalyst Fund creates lasting impact, ensuring that wisdom, tradition, and creativity remain active forces in modern life.
